p.1 #1 · Dogwood Blooms

From the Merced River in Yosemite Valley a couple of months ago. Playing with the new shake reduction filter in PS CC. Although not meant for moving objects, as here, and rather to correct camera shake, it worked passably well? 1.0 sec and .06 sec respectively at f/16 from a tripod. I think maybe this filter has a way to go before it's ready for primetime. It's sort of to the point that 3D was in CS3

Interesting BG for these Jim
#1 is the shot IMO, I could see a little darker on the whites perhaps but could be my monitor and a bit darker on the greens maybe? I prefer the nicer looking flowers showing in this shot over the other.
The bottom of #2 got pretty weird looking!

Number 1 for me, Jim. Wonderful water action in the BG. Nicely done.

I wonder if lowering the highlights a bit might bring out a little more detail in the flowers?

Yes, the whole shot kinda looked like that because there was a little more of a breeze in the second.

Not really, I've lowered them now and reposted with the brightest white set to 246. No real detail because it was a 1 second exposure in a slight breeze. Any detail was blurred out and the filter won't add detail at this point. It's a work in progress for Adobe, but has some possibilities. We'll see I guess.

Thanks for the comment.

Real beauties.
These are the shots I've tried to capture in a dozen+ trips to the valley but never found the branches low enough.
Bravo!

My thoughts exactly. I do really like the BG though.

Like I responded before:

Lovely images Jim. #1 is my favorite mainly due to the background. I have my doubts about the shake reduction filter so it would be interesting to see the before and after image.

You have the after, of coarse, so here's the before. The raw jpeged.

And thanks all for the comments on these.
