I think something might be wrong with my lens

Looking at my night time shots, and even some of my day time shots, it looks like something might be wrong with my lens. I see some strange purple "halos" or circular areas in the sky shots.

This also can be seen when shooting at f1.4 - f2 at a blue sky. It is easier to see if you under expose the image a bit.

Is any of your 35mm F1.4 lenses doing this same thing? I'd appreciate it if you try the under exposed blue sky shot at f1.4 and let me know.

Here is what I am talking about. You can see it very clearly in the first and in the left and right corners going at angles in the second.

That's not just vignetting?

unless the second one is a heavy crop it is highly unlikely that a lens could be causing a shape like that, a straight line across the frame
my guess is, this is either your processing or sensor or jpeg engine or raw converter...
what camera is this? I remember similar banding sometimes with the 5D1, visible in similar situations (skies with gradual changes in brightness)

first one is a nice photo btw, I wouldnt have noticed anything if you hadnt mentioned it

Appears to be a D600 according to Flickr.

Yes the body is a D600.

I thought it might have been the low full moon to the side of these shots as it was bright and there was a lot of smoke in the air and thin clouds. But when I tested it against a blue sky, I could see thin concentric rings of purple and a dirty grey color.

Try against a white wall and a white sky?

yeah you could start eliminating factors until you find the culprit
try what FlyPenFly said, and if needs be do the same with a different lens, with in-camera jpeg, a different raw converter, if possible a different camera, and notice any differences in the result
