This is a very nice, newer, extruded aluminum model in excellent condition. I purchased this last June and it was used on one air-to-air shoot: it was an amazing platform from which to photograph. The gryo is in tip-top condition and runs great. It has never been dropped, bumped, or jarred to its stops by reversing rotation. I just started it up to check its condition and it is still in first-class condition. It has lived in a Pelican case in my non-smoking household for the past year.

As the gyro comes up to speed and runs has the Kenyon "whine," and prolonged usage will make the unit warm to the touch: both are typical. I had previously owned a steel-case KS-4 that I purchased second-hand that had a compromised seal; it ran very loud in comparison, and was quite a bit warmer. After Ken-Lab diagnosed the problem with the KS-4, I decided that a KS-6 would be more my pace, and purchased one directly from them.

The aluminum casing has a couple longitudinal scratches on it. They're very light (highlighted below), and very "perfect" in the sense that they're aligned perfectly with the long axis of the gyro--I'm almost wondering if they're not remnants of tooling from Ken-Lab themselves. There is one light blemish on below the name plate that I've tried to show below.

Its battery has been charged on a monthly basis and it has never had to charge for more than a minute during this electrical upkeep. The connectors all have very positive and secure "snaps" when being used.

All of the electrical components are immaculate and in like-new condition. This includes the AC adapter and plug, and the adapter for use in cigarette lighters in cars.

All the original paperwork from Ken-Lab, most notably the envelope with the certificates of quality procedures and conformity, right down to the Pelican literature, is inside the top foam of the case.

The Pelican case has some superficial blemishes that have not compromised the integrity of the case. I think most of the scuffs came from my buckling it in to my car when I took it places--ha! It is a beautifully functional case, though, and is probably my favorite design from the four Pelican cases I've owned.

$1800 and I'll cover insured shipping: That's $1000 cheaper than new KS-6, and $1600 cheaper than the 4x4!

Absolutely brilliant!

Occasionally, you put trust in someone that you've never met, and that person goes above and beyond to help make a difficult situation a little bit better! Leviathor utterly and completely hooked me up. My Gyro met its demise one day before I had to jump on a plane for a very important shoot. Leviathor shipped this Gyro overnight to my hotel the same day that I paid...they went above and beyond the normal call of duty!

This plan had so many potential failure points that one misstep and I would have been done. Everything worked like a precision watch!

I can not express how much I appreciate your help in solving what could have been a most complete disaster.

Thank you,
J
