I forget. Are there issues with this as opposed to putting it on a full frame camera? I have a 50mm prime I want to use with a 30D hence the question.

Thanks and remember...admit to nothing; deny everything.

Not a problem.

The lens will be "cropped" to an apparently longer focal length in the APS-C view, looking like an 80mm lens on a full frame camera.

Thanks. That I remembered but I didn't know if I would also have corner problems.

full frame lenses on a crop are fine; crop-only lenses on full frame is where the trouble is

A crop sensor body like the 30D 'only' uses the center portion of an 'EF' lens, not the outer edges. You should not get any edge/corner vignetting unless you use multiple/stacked filters and or a hood that is to long for the lens in question.

It will have a lesser angle of view. Nothing to do with a crop or a focal length.

Correct, angle of view differences aside, you may wonder why your lens is "better" on a crop.
