p.1 #1 · Under Double Arch

The textures of the sandstone in Arches really worked well when converted to B&W. I found myself converting more than a few that when I shot them, I didn't think I would go B&W with them. This is one of them. I thought the cobalt blue sky against the reddish/tan/brown rocks would be a nice contrast, but I liked it better once converted. The majority was done in CS4, final contrast adjustments and Selenium toning done in Nik SEP. Comments and Crits are more than welcome. Thanks.

Wonderful image, Travis.
I'm sure I also would like the color version- but in a different way.
Double Arch is so incredible- even from the "standard" view.
Standing under it and shooting straight up with a wide angle lens just adds that much more intrigue.

At least you didn't have far to fall.
You got some fine pictures of this incredible place.
I enjoyed looking at them.
