I think my color is a little off, as the bug and the flower were even more similar in color "as seen" than I have presented (color space change). I didn't do any "clean up" either, it was mostly a quickie post for the bug face, following our dialogue @ Jim's perspective.
Cool @ the other "buggy" shots ... wonder how long we could keep the bug-zone going?
Kent,
Nice shot. Super sharp. EXIF?
I prefer your version over the tweaks, although I do not know what color the ladybug was as I have seen them range from more muted brown to brighter reddish tones. I think Karen's rework could be tweaked to return a bit more detail in the highlights on the bugs middle segment.

Shooting manual only with Tamron 90/2.5 52BB version, iirc, so no reported Exif @ aperture. I was shooting between 5.6 through 11 at various times, so I really can't say for sure, guessing @ f8 to split the diff.
As to the bug's color, it was a little more tan/less orange, but I switched color spaces to pop up the color into a larger space, followed by a slight pull back to keep it from being too much ... i.e. it isn't exactly natural colors (but hopefully plausible).
