p.1 #1 · Sigma 120-300 f2.8 DG OS HSM Sports in NIKON MOUNT is HERE!!!!!!!!
Just got the new Sigma 120-300 f2.8 DG OS HSM Sports in Nikon mount today, it's raining out, the lens itself looks and feels great, focus quick, I will have chance to test it out this weekend. Will probably post some photos by then.
I won't be able to test it against 300/2.8 VR2 (sold it), I'll do some more testing later this week or next.
Alright, all y'all Nikon shooters enjoy, hehe... :D

That is one good looking lens. Depending on the reviews I am tempted to get this as a replacement for my Nikon 70-200 VR1 and Nikon 300 f/4.

There is nothing fancy for those photos, asked to cover a State Soccer Tourney by a friend, it started raining, I was under a tent, needless to say, what a great lens! one complaint I have is that for me as a Nikon shooting forever, the zooming is opposite on what I've used to; great for Canon shooters, or Canon shooters to switch to Nikon system and planning to use the new Sigma 120-300/2.8 Sports... :D
Anyway, did not do anything, no tweaking or change anything, those photos were straight out of my D4, JPEG files, only been cropped to post on here and make them tighter fit...
so far, I am very happy with the lens, will do more extensive testing in two weeks at US Outdoor Track n Field Championship...

Yes, sir, Will, I will be testing out the lens at US Outdoor Track n Field Championship meet in less than 2 weeks... I am also curious to see how we'll the lens will take some beating in a long run for a sports shooter lol, we shall find out in a few years lol
It's very sharp, even the corners, but you may need f/8 to make the corners perfect at some zoom levels. It's certainly the equal of the 70-200 lenses though in my opinion. The corners are pretty good at infinity even at 2.8 though imho. The corners are not as good as a prime at close focus distances (which is why reviews sometimes show the corners as not as good as the mtf charts show).
