Preference?
Would you crop tighter?
Trying to stay within square format.
Hey, did you know the zebras stripes start brown? Turn black as they mature? Who knew?
Scott
Who knew? Ans: A Zebra knows!
They are both quite captivating, however I think (subject to change of course) I prefer the color version and I'd not do anything to either. <edit> Well, maybe a dash of very light sharpening to emphasize edges.
I agree with Bob. I prefer the color version and I think this is a fascinating image that does not need any enhancements. Very interesting composition and subject and all the technique aspects work well. Maybe fine tune your preference for matting and framing and then get it printed and hung.

I was wondering what camera and lenses you are shooting with? Love the sharpness of the images and the creamy bokeh, out of focus backgrounds.
Thanks
The EXIF information should be showing up beneath the images I have been posting.
The portraits have been Canon 5D Mark II with a 24-105L IS lens.
The animal images (so far) have been Canon 7D with a Canon 100-400L IS lens.
When I get around to sharing some elephant close-ups some are back to the 5D combo.

Very nice image with many facets for study!

thanks Bob. May turn out to be one of my top images from the safari.

thanks for the comment and I am pleased it works so well for you.
Likely to be printed at some point.
