Thank you all so much!
When photographing old buildings it helps to think of them as people with faces. If you compose as such it usually helps the composition. In the case of the barn I chose a composition that really emphasizes the "face" of the barn saying "Help, I've fallen and I cant get up!"
Great shots, the first thing that came to my mind was how much you would love Oregon.
Thank you. Great, now I will have to move there! Oregon is already on top of my list of places to photograph for it's coastlines. I don't need abandoned places to add to that :P
What great finds! I need to get out & explore more.
The first one looks almost like lens distortion with the lean so exaggerated
The second one has a cartoon like face.
Thank you Dan. The lens distortion definitely helped exaggerate the lean but it was leaning a lot. So much that I wonder how it is still standing.

These are awesome finds. how long did this project take? killer collection
Thank you Sunny! These are taken during 2 days of exploring (driving aimlessly down back roads). Every mile road was a gold mine. I would find a place, spend 20min or so shooting and then move on to another. Not a lot of time spent on studying the locations but just thinking quickly and working with what was there. There is so much more area to explore it is crazy. Cant wait to get back out there. Hoping to spend a few days there in July.
Here is a fun shot taken by my gf:
