There are two large falls on McKenzie River, located in a short distance one from another. They are withing a short walking distance from a parking lot, so it was a perfect place to go while on family trip. The 1.5 hour drive from Eugene was very enjoyable - wildflowers are all in bloom right now, azalea and dogwood included.
1. The first one (if to count from the river-head at Clear Lake) is Sahalie Falls. It can be accessed and photographed more or less easy only near the fall itself. That slippery trail is closed but people still go in, judging on a number of footsteps. I could not come any closer not because it is hard, it's just my Mom was watching me from the top, getting increasingly worried Really loud and powerful:

2. Right beneath it, in less than a mile, there is Koosah Falls, just as fast and powerful. Access is a bit easier, although my muscles still ache from the climb:

3. And finally, a picture taken above Koosah Falls, where the water just relaxed after one trouble and does not know yet what lies ahead. Color is natural, it is really that blue:

All three pictures are combinations of two frames - one, at faster speed, for foliage, and slower one for the water.
C&C very welcome.
