I am looking to upgrade my landscape solution and add a tilt shift lens to my arsenal, which is why I am considering a part move to Canon. For use with the 17/24 TS-E and 17-40 at ISO 50-200, which will deliver the best image quality? When looking at large samples, the 5dii appears to have a smoother quality to the files, which I like, while the 6D looks like it's been sharpened.
I currently use my Pentax K5iis with 300mm f4 for plane and wildlife shots. Which of the two offers better af performance? I rarely push my cameras past ISO 2500, so noise is not an issue. Also, the largest I print is 24x16, depending on ISO used.
Which do you guys think is the best for Low ISO use, primarily landscapes, and a bit of action thrown in?

Try using the forum search function. This has been discussed before.

There isn't much difference with the 5D2, 5D3 or 6D when low ISO's are used; 100 thru 1600. As you move up the scale, the 5D3 and 6D begin to outperform the 5D2, 3200 and above the 5D3 and 6D simply run away. All three bodies are around 20MP; 6D=20, 5D2=21, 5D3=22, not a huge difference, but each body also has a different processing scheme/engine.

As said above, use the search option, you'll find several years of info/images for the 5D2, there's a bit over a years worth for the 5D3, less for the 6D. Features like AF, focusing screens, LCD quality; if you use live view, etc. should be considered along with IQ.

There's your budget as well, and only you know what MPs and feature set will best meet your needs. The internet is abuzz with opinion...

This video/review/opinion, might help...

Canon 6D, 5D Mark III, 7D, T3i, 600D, 5D Mark II ULTIMATE Review and Comparison

The cheapest one you can find (probably a used 5D mark II) since they all use the same sensor with minor variations. No point paying all that extra for a 5D Mk III's AF if you don't plan on using it.

The 6D is worth the upgrade. For landscape shooting, the GPS will be welcome, and the ability to use your phone as a 'free' remote shutter is priceless.

Further, the 6D can focus with less light, and it's also a lighter camera, which should be a boon if you have to ruck your gear to your location.

It also looks like, according to the video posted above, that the high ISO performance of the 6D is superior; and that's what sold it for me, coming from a noisy 60D.

I have all three, 5D2, 5D3 and a newly purchased 6D.

There's no doubt the 5D2 is starting to show it's age, the shadow detail isn't as good, even at low ISO's (although perfectly good if you don't push it much) and the 5D3 is a much better all round camera than both the others.

The 6D has surprised me though, it's a really good little dslr and a better camera than the 5D2 in almost every way.

The 6D is a great deal better than the 5D2. Although the specs are similar, the 6D has better focus and cleaner files. It is also more compact and lighter. The 6D is a body that represents good value.

dhphoto - A test I'd like to see, and have not seen anywhere on the internet: I'd like to see the 5DII with 6 assist points activated, in AI servo, on birds in flight. I know neither are action cameras, but how do they perform when used in that way?

I have also been considering a D800 + 24mm nikon pc system... The D800 and lens combination is £300 less than the 5diii, something i could stretch to.

Sadly I have no idea, I have never shot birds in flight seriously or any other wildlife.

I was speaking for the work I do which is mainly industrial & commercial

If TS and PC lenses are what you are after, then you should be looking at systems not only at cameras. You will be buying $2000 lenses and you will want to make the best investment choices in regard to lens system you are buying into. Camera tech changes fast. Lenses not so much. Good glass is more important, especially on all-manual tilt-shift/perspective control lenses.
I can tell you that Canon is quite a bit ahead of Nikon in regard to tilt-shift lenses.

I think i will take the 6D as it is very cheap : it now costs about what i paid for my Pentax :/
Apart from the tse lenses, what are some good wide angle options? I have been looking at the zeiss wide angle primes and the samyang 14. Is the 17-40 sharp at f8? I prefer wide angle primes but I hear the 17-40 is pretty good value

17-40 is sharp apart from the extreme corners.

As for body i would take the 6d over the ageing 5d2 every day.

Currently in my basket is
6D £1159
28mm f1.8 £368
zeiss 18mm £929
Samyang 14 £268

I think I will add TS later. Maybe when the price of the 17mm TSE has fallen used
