I know the Canon EOS-M has gotten a bad rap but at $349 - $399 with kit 22mm lens I think it's a good buy.

Looks like Canon might be releasing a new mirrorless body and a lens or two this year so I though we might want to see what the Canon Mirrorless can do.

Please post your EOS-M shots!

Thanks

Just got my kit and really haven't done much but testing so far.

All with the 22mm

In general, folks here do not like links to images that much. Why don't you revised the post above and add .jpg at the end of the link and the image will be displayed here. Give it a shot and you will get more responses.... I hope.

Thanks Joshua,

I tried, no luck. I must be doing something wrong.

Sorry

Got it now.

Thanks Joshua!

First post...apologies in advance for any problems.

I just picked up the EOS M w/ the 22mm, took it on a road trip with my fiance instead of the usual 5dm2 + assortment of lenses. The ~35mm equivalent FL took a little getting used to (for me), but once you get past the AF sluggishness, the combo of the M + the 22mm puts out some surprisingly nice pictures.

Wow, certainly can't complain about the IQ. Hows the handling with those big lenses?

The usability of the EOS-M with the EF series of lenses is where it beats the Nex and M4/3 lineups

NEX will take metabone adapters in "speed booster" or plain forms, not cheap and not all lenses are supported for AF and IS but it will work mostly. But yes, EOS-M should support them plug-n-play via adapter.

For MFT, my beef has been no metabone like adapters for EOS lenses(well there are some but very quirky and expensive). I have some cheaper adapters for use with my GH1 but no good way to control the aperture.

EOS-M with Magic Lantern(focus peaking/magic zoom features) is actually very good for use with manual focus (Alt or Canon speciality lenses like TS-E) since I prefer liveview for manual focus anyway. Only thing it is missing for me is some form of EVF.

Hi,

Nice pics.
How hard was it to put Magic Lantern on?

Thanks

I must say that the images posted here are impressive. It must be the photographer(s) and not the camera that delivered, huh ?
