Thanks Kirk,

They aren't doing too well down state. Seems like they can't get a break from Mother Nature. We didn't do bad in Northern OK today. Three tornadoes, no reports of damage other than to crops.

Best,

Luke

I have never seen clouds like this! Gives me goosebumps and the threat of the type of severe weather you guys and gals get is simply frightening.

Hope all is well and things settle down soon.

Cool shots, fascinating actually.

Those are some freaky clouds! I've seen smaller sections of the sky with them, but those are so well defined and and lots of them. Neat. Thanks for sharing.

Are those the actual colors of the clouds? Scary looking.
Nature definitely gives warnings. Unfortunately these days with so many people, the infrastructure and how cities are built there's no where to run or hide in time for many.

Thanks folks!

I have never seen the sky full of them like yesterday - usually after a Tornado you will see some, and they won't last long. I went out later in the evening (while things were still active in OKC and Stillwater (40 miles to our south) and there were still several visible in the sky illuminated by the moon. However they were not as tightly bunched as they were earlier. Certainly unusual, to say the least.

Yessir! OOC except for size. Many people in these parts have in-ground shelters. I'll post a photo later of one as soon as I rocket my 700 to get rid of the debris that was flying around when I changed to my 24-70.

I wish I would have been able to take some shots of the shelf clouds yesterday. However, the rain was horizontal and coming down in bathtubs! Now they were really scary According to the local radio station they had ping pong sized hail imbedded (I headed for a local gas station for cover). That storm generated one of the 3 tornadoes in this general area yesterday.

Actually, things were a little unsettling, and I would have much rather been been in Moab yesterday

Your clouds are amazing both in number and shape. Mammatus clouds form on the under side of the anvil and do not produce the tornado.

Yessir - the number of them and from horizon to horizon struck me as highly unusual.
