p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Mighty Low Boy alternative?

I am looking for a nice travel/macro tripod, for times when I do not feel like lugging around my Gitzo 3541LS. The Kirk Mighty Low Boy seems like a good option:

-folded length 11.25"
-height range from 1.75" to 28" depending on which center post is used
-four leg angles
-weight w/ short center post: 2.6 lbs

I am unsure how much weight it can support, but the website photos depict it supporting a 500/4, so obviously it is strong.

I am curious what other options are available. It must be under 12" folded, be able to achieve close to ground-level height, and be able to support at least 7lbs.

Primary use, I will add, would be macro (reptiles, amphibians, flowers, etc) and should at least support my 1D3 with 180mm macro plus 550EX speedlite.

Thanks!

I have the Berlebach Mini-tripod. Similar to the Mighty Low Boy but in wood. Very stable and support rather big lenses. Lower price also

Then there is the Matthews alternative: similar to the Mighty Low Boy but in steel.

Okay, the Matthews Low Boy is a light stand, but it meets some of your requirements: range of leg angles, ground level reach with grip arm, travels on its own wheels, supports 55 lbs. With grip arm, I use it as an alternative camera stand in my studio. It can also serve as a light stand:
