I was very carefully trying to take some photos of a nomada bee when I noticed another movement in the viewfinder, pulled the camera back a fraction and found this flesh fly smiling at me

I've been impressed with the quality of images that you consistently post. They are so tack sharp. They are an inspiration. I have difficulty getting such sharpness quality. Which lens, tubes, extenders did you use for these images? How much crop? Even if it were 100% crop (which I don't believe it is), to retain such sharpness is incredible. I've tried rocking back and forth but it's most helpful if I at least have a tripod. Thanks. (a long-time lurker but first time poster). A lot of you guys are great!
