Because of my 24-70 MKII I'm thinking about putting up my 24L, 35L, 50L and possibly even my 85 1.2. My 200L does a great job and I just bought a Zeiss 100 Macro to use for portraits.

Do you think you'll miss the wider apertures?

I am in the same boat, and personally I could give up the 35L easily and the 50L probably (in part because I absolutely love/hate that lens). The 85L is too special but at the same time, between my 70-200mk2 and 200/2, I really don't need it either. The 24L I'm not willing to give up. I love it too much. But from a practical perspective, I could give it up as well.

I don't know Stan23 and I may just keep the 24L. The 85L just collects dust and that Zeiss 100 MP f/2.0 is a sweet lens and so is the 200L I don't do much at 1.2 but at the same time it is nice to have. now I'm thinking my way out of it. stanj I think we think alike here.

IMO the biggest reason for a 24 1.4 is the nature of the image quality and the background rendering. It is a very interesting lens. It is in no way remotely comparable to the 24 end of the 24-70 Mk II.

At what apertures are you talking?

One thing I noticed different about the OOF rendering is that the 24 prime tosses in green and purple LoCA Halos a little bit and the zoom does not .
