p.1 #1 · Mornings on the Mississippi

Rising river levels have made it next to impossible to hide and wait for the birds. My usual place is now under almost 18' feet of water. The birds are very skittish and even fly off when a car passes within 100 feet.
Have to learn some new skills to get close now

There is however a wonderful treasure trove of the little creatures at the banks edge .

As always your nits and suggestions are most appreciated as I still learn from them.

Thank you for stopping in . Hope you enjoy .

Ooh! Those are some nice looking dragons! The anhinga on that gorgeous background is wonderful. Only 18' of water....what a wimp...don't want to get your hair wet ....I think it's time to get a yak...not the big hairy beast...the low riding water craft! You can tame the mighty Mississippi!

I always enjoy your beautiful Dragonfly images Birdie, I wish we had more of them here in SoCal.
Anhinga silhouette is gorgeous even though his left wing looks a little tattered.
The detail, BG, and composition of the Killdeer is excellent and my favorite of the set... very well done.
Hard to believe the river is up 18'... wow!

#1 Love the feel you captured and the Anhinga has a neat unique IF form to it. I think this one is bit to centered? A pano could also work here?
#2 That is a sweet shot!
#3 Excellent, nice depth, nice on the darker deep green BG to nicely display the Killdeer. Nice presentation here Birdie
#4 face and top back show much noise and are OOF.......but I do like the flower
#5 You are making a tiny Damsel look awfully big and doing a fine job of it!

Good color, good looking images
