Work kicked my butt this week and I only got out when I was hanging out with the kids at the forest preserve. I still got a few keepers...C&C welcome. All but the in flight swallow taken with the 300mm 2.8 IS and the 2xIII. Swallow was taken with the bare 300.

Cedar Waxwing is a beauty, and the Tree Swallow IF is impressive.

A fun set, and a fun story. A swallow IF? I have a hard enough time following them visually let alone with a camera and lens. Nice job!

The swallow in flight was one of about 20 attempts...and that was with a 1dIII, a 300, 2.8 with the focus set to the infamous ring of fire. And I got 2 out of 20 in focus. One of them was the rear end as it flew away.
