I'm relatively new to the forum, and thought I would solicit a bit of help processing a photo I took 2 months ago in Friday Harbor, Washington. How would you process this photo to maximum effect? Obviously, critiques on the capture are welcome as well!
The photo was grabbed handheld using a Sony Nex-7+SEL50F18 combination.
I'm relatively new to Lightroom, but this is my first processing attempt.
Also, as this is just for fun, here's a link to the original raw file for those interested in tweaking from the original.
The biggest issue obviously is the strangely cramped Upper left corner. Better perhaps to have some clutter from other vessels that to be so cramped. Alternately, some creative negative space could be added to reduce the cramped feeling.
Many thanks for the comments/suggestions, especially to @AuntiPode for illustrating what a little creativity can do. I'll definitely try my hand at cloning to see if I can't recreate a similar look. If only the ship had obliged by leaving the dock at the right time of day...
@RustyBug--the dropbox link/file works for me, though do note that it's a rather large 23MB file.
