The beautiful and regal Crested Caracara is sometimes referred as a Mexican Eagle. This bird gave me another shooting opportunity a few days ago while in Orlando, Fl. Driving to Viera Wet, my favorite place when I'm in that area, takes only one hour from Orlando and I was hoping for another opportunity to get some pics of a Caracara in flight.
The American Eagle is not very common in Viera, but this one landed on top of a dead tree close where I was shooting.
The Juvenile Eagle was taken a couple of days ago here, at Pensacola Beach. A rare sight, as it flew right over my head.
The Caracara was shot with a 7D paired with the 400mm/5.6, the Eagles were shot with the MkIV and the 400mm/5.6, except the last one taken with the 7D and the 500mm+ 1.4xTC.
