Crop tighter! . No, no, just joking. Love the background. Love the first two especially.

Agree. I am just not good at cropping. Couldn't figure out how tight to go.
Thanks for the feedback.

Cool background. I'm trying to think of a way to use it in a photo. Two thoughts came to mind for a shot:

1) What about a shot with him jumping in the air doing a side volley with his body hovering over the buildings?

2) What about him doing a headball like it's over the top of the tall building?

Watch your horizon on #1 - it's a little catty whompus. Good use of an of center focus and use of the background.

What an awesome location! Almost all of the horizons are off judging by the water. I would straighten from the water line since naturally water will be level.

Like the location, agree the background is good. #1 is well down and will be a stronger capture if re-leveled.

Regarding the horizons, I would suggest you use the buildings and ensure they are straight up and down vs adjusting the water line to horizontal. The shore line could be receding (at a diagonal, falling back away). Using the vertical alignment of the building eliminates the issue. JMTC

exactly what schlotz said. Always align verticals if you have them. No matter the angle, a vertical is vertical....until you get into wide angle distortion
