You Hummer guys and gals kill me! I need to find a place that has activity and give these little jewels a spin
Lots to like here Ted my friend, some tight shots, lots of details and some wonderful poses and colors.
I am picking up on a heavy end of the shadow/dark end of the scale on a lot of these, seems to me you could open the darks up more than you are doing but you may be comfortable and like the style you are presenting them and I understand that.
You made a comment on another FM'rs post about eye dropper for shadow, maybe there are areas that you do this on that take it 'deeper/darker' than it needs to be?? I guess I am saying I think in a friendly way you are leaving some detail and color range on the table to bring out yet that the more contrasty images can take away if that makes sense. And I don't mean to 'wash out the darks' either
OK buddy, thanks for letting me nit away..............I probably shouldn't since I don't have a single hummer to offer up for you to return the favor but when I do I sure have it coming
By the way, a salute to the Patriotic Hummer, that is sweet!

Karl:
On a dark shot/heavy shadows, the last thing I want to do is make it darker Karl. I frequently selectively lighten in this case. When you lighten as you know, you get noise. So, there has to be a balance between what is and what we hope an image could be.
By no means do I take offense to your suggestions. We all have styles and by no means am I fixed into an absolute style of presentation. I would think my thread documented that.
I am always honored when you reply to one of my threads Karl.
Thanks for the reply.
