I just wanted to say thank you to the support and help that this forum provides. With your help and by viewing what you like and don't like to make a picture I was able to get approved to be a MaxPreps photographer.
Congrats John, welcome to MaxPreps! Their actions for PS are good and its also easy to setup LR properly to handle it. Adds an extra step or two to my workflow to verify all the sizes prior to uploading to their site.
Congratulations. I have been considering applying to MaxPreps as well.
May I ask how long the approval process took?
Also, was there a specific individual you contacted or did you just complete the application and upload it?
Congrats John, the cropping comes natural after awhile and do it in a batch and its fairly quick with adjustments to individual images. Its a PITA, but it and MP will force/help you to become a better judge as to what images are good images and you will become a better editor because of it.
Congrats! I have thought about applying at MP for awhile, they just aren't extremely well knows on the West side of Michigan yet. I keep searching for some of the bigger schools, but there aren't many albums up yet. So I will continue with my T&I, and action locally for now. I am sure they will catch on here sometime soon.
Hey Ryan, when I started shooting for MaxPreps almost NO ONE around here had heard of them. We now have quite a few active photographers in this area and the brand is quite well known...got to start somewhere!
I hear you there, It's been on my mind. I keep myself pretty busy, but thats what I like about MP is I can shoot whenever I can make it. Did you ever have any problems with credentials throughout the schools since they weren't known at the time?
