A very enjoyable series.
First and third really make me smile. I think its the anthropomorphic bumpers/lights/grills.
Second, no fault of your own, suffers from the tree upfront, but does document the undergrowth beneath the canopy
Love how the third looks sunken into the forest floor.
And last works well too.
The greenish tint/patina seems right for all these. As they looked?

Wish I had been there.
Scott

Thanks Scott,

Re #2, the car was there long before the trees would rather they were not there but "Oh well".

Earlier in the week I was concerned the light would be too bright but fortunately there was a high overcast for a moderately bright yet gray sky. Greenish tint is likely a result of the still young foliage (sweet gum, pine, some oak) and mold/mildew.

Needn't add any composites, grunge is there by cranking up clarity.

Come on down - a day or two diversion on your next birding expedition - convenient to ATL and just up the interstate. Recommend this time of year or maybe mid autumn. Summer means dense canopy, snakes, ticks, mosquitoes, and poison ivy - lots. Lack of canopy in the winter - probably not very suitable for photography - lots of browns and very harsh light. Let me know.

I think there will be one final set to follow tonight or later in the week.

Regards,

Bob

Hi Bob

I enjoyed your images, especially the first one. Although I live in the UK, I've visited OCC three times in the past 12 months and was taking pictures there just a couple of weeks ago.

I've got literally hundreds of images from OCC and I think you've done a nice job, I find it a challenge to make my images from there sufficiently interesting.

All the best, Tony

Thank you, glad you enjoy them.

There are three similar threads on Black & White Vision, mostly different images from series. Perhaps you might enjoy some of those also.

Regards,

Bob

I normally don't comments much on cars or junk for reasons I've mentioned before, but I like the verdigris hues, sort of an old masters meets modern decay. Perhaps a darker rendition for your consideration?

Thanks Karen,

Knew you'd likely not comment given the subject matter; I like your re-work. Glad you jumped in

Bob
