Fun session, fun couple. We went out expecting nice sunny warm California weather (which is what we had in San Jose). Got to the beach and it was cold, windy, and cloudy. So much for all the "backlit by the sun" images I was hoping to do. Oh well. I'm just glad I decided to wear long pants instead of shorts!
I want to shoot there, well done, 5, 7 and 9 are standouts for me. What are they doing in 11, looks like hands and arms everywhere, could have been more with a simple pose.
Thanks for the thoughts! I'll have to check the rest of my images to see if there is any of his portraits where I didnt crop his chin. It was my first time trying these closeups so I'll remember that for next time.
Looks like they (and you) handled the conditions very well. I like these a lot - they look very natural and un-posed, and I like the processing as well.
@ Brian - He had his hands around her neck while she was holding onto his arm. I think at this point of the session my brain was trying to concentrate on staying warm and not posing. Looking back I wish I had her on the left facing him and him facing her in some fashion so her dress/hair would have blown out towards the ocean.
@ Jeff - Out of curiosity what would have done differently? Though that could be a hard question without knowing what else is in that area.
