I was out taking pictures in the pasture at my house Monday evening and as I sat waiting for the Red wing blackbird to come back to its perch I noticed a bird coming in my direction from the back of my property. To my surprise it was a spoonbill. I was able to sneak over to where it landed and get some pics. The in flight pics are the only ones I was able to get and they are all full frame hence the reason for no room on some of them. I wish he was a little more pink than he was. It almost seemed like he was mostly white with a hint of pink. Oh well I was happy to be able to get what I got. As always CC always welcomed. Thanks for looking!

I saw a Roseate Spoonbill drop into my neighborhood---but then I woke up.
Very nice images. I wonder if this particular bird's diet causes its pale appearance?
Thanks for all the positive comments guys. The amount of pink that spoonbills show is a direct correlation to what they are eating and how much of it. Some say it has to do with how much shrimp they eat.
