Anyone have a bank that they recommend for business checking accounts? We use a local bank (which I prefer), but their online banking is weak and costs me more time in Quickbooks.
Tony I assume you checked Quickbooks to make sure you couldn't hook up to your bank? I use Lakeland which is also a local bank (think Jersey only) but they connect to Quickbooks in the backend.
My bank will integrate with Quickbooks, but the way they process transactions adds a bunch of unnecessary and random digits for some reason and it doesn't allow for auto-importing to sort anything.
I've been with PNC bank for many years. It integrates with Quickbooks and they've added some great analytics on the back end that will help some small businesses track performance.
I use BOA, only because they have incredibly convenient services, and the small business account has been very good, no issues after a year or so. You can pretty much bank with their iphone app, and never leave the house.
We use Chase. Decent apps, but we don't use any automatic Quickbooks importing so I can't comment on that. With $1000/mo on the linked credit card (easy to do) the account fees are waived. They're present in every state we go to, which is helpful at times.
I have Chase too. The apps are good, but my only issue is the deposit limits on the app (something like $2000 per check and $2500 per month). Seems like after a few years they could adjust the limits up based on activity/stability/etc, but they aren't doing that yet. I end up at ATM a lot (at least they are easy to find).
I'd go with PNC... which is who I used when I was in South Jersey... but since moving to Florida, there aren't too many PNC banks down here... so I'm with Chase now.
Chase as well.. we've used Quick-pay multiple times for clients with both chase and non chase accounts, super easy and there isn't any fees or dealing with checks at all.
