p.7 #1 · p.7 #1 · Why no Adobe CC outrage?

One thing that I find ironic about the anger/frustration about Adobe's change to a subscription model is the same people who are angry about Adobe's renting of software are the same people who vehemently assert the ownership of their images and that any usage is governed by a license that explicitly limits the duration of use.

So why are we feeling so abused when the same model is applied to us?

Pixelmator does these two things easily for $15.

All the talk about alternatives that do this or that really do not address the fact that there is no real credible competition to PS. Every app offered up as the "next PS" has serious shortcomings in features, or usability or stability or all of these things to a greater or lesser degree.

Had there been credible competition to PS we wouldn't be ponying up every tree-frog app as an alternative. The alternative would be obvious and have a large share of the market already.
