Marc named all the main spots, though you will see there are area's where they are all over. Most of my best shots from last year were right from the side of the Coast Hwy. One other thing I noticed from last year, is that the Rhodies bloom at different times in different places, so part of the fun is just driving/hiking and exploring to see where the blooms are, have been, or are about to bloom. There is quite a change in both elevation and climate in that area up there. You can be close to the coast where it's more moist, or on the other side where it's not as moist, all of which seems to affect the Rhodies and when they bloom.
PS. Here is a link to some of my shots from that trip last June to give you an idea. http://www.pbase.com/jimfoxphotography/redwood_national_and_state_parks
