Hi, Justin, Have not commented on any of the burrowing owls before, I have very
special memories of one over 70 yrs.ago, we were living on adry farm on the Bighorn
mts. dad found one that he watched for a while, never saw an adult, after a period of time caught it ,brought to the house, can't recall if it was given hamburger or what.
Whatever, it was hungery, It made a sound which sounded like (keeoop) so it was
named "Peasoup" later after it had fledged it had the run of the place, I would go out
in the field and call for it, " peasoup where are you"? after a bit it would answer me,
I'd say come on Peasoup, It would fly up land on my head or arm if Ihadmy arm up,
when I got back up to the barn it would fly up on the barn or someother high spot,
so it cold watch what wasgoing on below, Sorry no Pictures, only Fotunes in memories. Scalawag ...Show more →
Sounds like a sweet memory, Scalawag. And great shots, Justin. The eyes are amazing, of course. Good find and well captured.
