Andy -- Thanks for sharing! I like the action that #4 brings to the table...starting to slide, runners facial expression, who will get there first ball or runner...and for me that is the exciting part of that image.

Of all your shots, #3 is the best representing the play. #4 is close. Well done.

Ted is right on the money. I'd like to add on a bit do it. As good as 1 & 2 are -- they pale in comparison to number 3. For that reason alone, I don't know that I would have included them in the set. Four is also much better than the rest in that sequence. I'm sure you are trying to tell the story of what happened on the play, but sometimes a little bit of intrigue is what makes the shot.

Guessing that's a marker for another base, multi use field maybe?

Different aged kids play on fields with different length base paths. Many fields are used for a lot of different age groups, and as a result could have two or three base positions. The field crews put those blue tufted plugs in the ground to keep the dirt out of the holes not being used. When they use the field for a different age group, they simply pull the plug, drop the base into the hole and pop the plug into the other base position. Quick and easy -- and really helpful when different age groups back-to-back games on the same field. Rarely happens on high school fields -- but happens a lot in youth leagues.
