Funny thing about this is that I was in the den visiting with My Dad and Step Mom and saw the flower in the vase on a little table under the window. The flower was backlit, and everything looked just right, so I didn't move anything. I just positioned myself for the perspective I wanted, zoomed for the composition, took a light reading through my camera, set exposure, focused and shot.
It took about as long to do it as to write about it.
The old days of manual everything were actually quite quick and simple- and had the advantage of the photog knowing any mistakes were his or hers- not any of the complexities of the camera .
And being Kodachrome film- taking the picture was it. I was done.
Except for the 2-week wait .
