First rodeo in the season in Tonasket, WA. So I took for a test drive the Olympus OMD-E5.
Worked like a charm but tracking is a bit shaky but for predictive focusing done an outstanding job.

Great shot Sandor! It would have been nice to see a bit more of the rider's face, but the horse's face makes up for that.

Thanks for the comments.
The rider always turn the face towards the next barrel on the turn, so the disposition of the face is just right.
At the rodeo performances I always use the Pana 100-300 lens because in most arena I can bridge the needed gap to about 60-75% of the frame. In the above photo the FL is 175mm. More to see from this combination at Smugmug/Santilastudios.
