Until 1975 Hecla Island, Manitoba was only accessible via a ferry boat ride. Since theN the old ferry docks and piers have been left behind. Fortunately for me as they make a great subject to photograph.

Thank you Fred. Living in the prairies with nothing but flat lands and thousands of miles away from any oceans my option for landscapes are very limited. Which is quite depressing for me as a landscape photographer. Thankfully there are a few spots like these to help keep me from going insane.
