Thank you. It's easy to do and there are many tutorials should you need them.

I love your image. It actually took me a few seconds to realize that the people are all the same! You did well with the expressions and the look angles etc.

If it's easy to do, how did you do it? I have done it through copy and paste between images, but it would be better, seemingly, to do it with multiple exposures? I have never tried that.

Thanks,
Keith

Okay, I would like to read a tutorial. I tried searching "multiple exposure" and got nowhere. What search term should I use?

thanks in advance,

bob

Well done.

Try changing shirts and expressions and posture of your 'models'.

I agree with Jim. I really like this but I think the shot would have even more impact if you were wearing different clothes, sort of like dressing up in character. Still you, but different versions. NIce job, though! Really enjoyed this one.

I took a look and this is the first one I found. I'm sure there are more.

Sorry guys, not been around to read the posts. Thank you all so much for the replies. I didn't change clothes because it was just a dry run and I was too lazy to take it further.

The easiest way that I know of making the shot is by multiple exposures. I set the cards and chips on the table and took a seat whilst holding a shutter release cable. The settings have to be manual after first setting the focus and using a mid aperture about f8 or so. Although, the exif data on one image states f7.1, 1/10sec, iso 800, 22mm on my 17-85 lens, and I expect them all to be the same. The time delay was two seconds so I could get the pose I wanted after dropping the shutter release cable. I then took the others pictures.
I didn't do anything in camera raw, just opened them straight into Photoshop. As each image is the same physical size, I just dragged one image at a time over the first, added a vector mask and then used a brush with black paint set to normal blend at 100% and painted away the top layer where the underlying character is. Any problems, just change the colour to white and paint back what you have taken away with black. Keep repeating with each image and when complete, make the adjustments you would normally make to an image.
if you adjust each image individually, the final image will look wrong. It's much better to do levels and whatever at the end.
I hope this helps those that want to do something similar.
