Curious about your thoughts? Too soft? Too dark?

Thanks,

Bob

It's not too dark or too soft, but there's something odd about the processing or jpeg conversion

Yep, overworked - time for a fresh start! My trademark

In looking further, likely flawed technique contributes - no lemonade here.

Thanks,

Bob

no and no
I like it!
Maybe a bit tight on the top left. Possibly a bit of rotation and looser crop to fix.

Thanks Scott,

I must agree with both you and @AuntiPode. I like the image, however I also am aware of its warts - fringing I was able to (mostly) remove plus some other anomalies within the context of an undisciplined workflow.

That, plus it's the first frame captured 'for real' with a new body - D7100 - taken at the kitchen table, HH, under terrible light. I've read the camera has low tolerance for shoddy technique (read 'that is me') if one is to realize the benefits of 24Mpx without an anti-alias filter. Another adventure

And, I must admit there is no rational reason in the world to get this - I just did. And, for the moment, it curbs my lust for full-frame. Guilty.

Regards,

Bob

Great composition, but I agree with the jpeg conversion. Doesn't look clear and high quality.
