At fancy auctions, old tanks like this Dodge convertible are restored, have a $20,000 paint job slapped on, and sell for $50,000 and up.
I remember them when they were new. Just another big old gas-guzzler that had but one virtue... you could drop the top and go cruising along the California coastline.
Although I preferred cruising the coast in my Triumph TR-3 sports car .

Actually, many years while living in Philly as an undergrad, when the wind was coming off the river (now downwind from the refineries) my car would look like that in the mornings. I hope things have improved.
