p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · D600 AF points problem after firmware update

After I updated the firmware to the latest version, I haven't seen multiple AF points anymore. Whether I choose d5, d9, d21 or d39 I will only see and be able to move the one central point. The only way I can use multiple AF points is when the setting is on d39 AUTO.

Someone else had this problem?
Should I try to reinstall the firmware?
Is there a way to downgrade to the previous version?

You're never supposed to see multiple AF points to begin with They only show up in Auto...

Are you sure?
I remember being able to move the 9/21 point area around with the directional pad. Am I fooling myself?

It also seems to me that only the center point in the area engages focus.

Hold in the AF mode button, and the group of focus points will show up. Keep it held in and the group will scroll around with the directional pad.

The selected focus point (centre of the group) is the one that will engage focus, the surrounding points will be used if the subject briefly moves off the selected point.

Press the info button and have a look at your back screen, assuming that is the same as it is on my D7k

Don't feel too bad. I'm not that "fresh" of a Nikon user and I wasn't aware you could see that on my D600. Maybe because I don't read camera manuals.
