p.1 #1 · Water and card reliability

I managed to accidentally drop a Lexar 1000x 32 gb card in a glass of water. Pulled it out in seconds...Waited 2days , tested it and all seeks fine - I can read images on it. Fortunately I had already read a copy of the images off of it.

Have not tried it in camera yet. any chance of it damaging camera?

Have others who have done this ...does this mean the card is ok for the long term or best to exchange under warranty or get a new one?

Should be fine. Many reports of people going through a laundry cycle with the cards and it continues to function fine. No first hand experience with this though.

I've put two CF cards through the washer and dryer, at different times. No problems. I don't use them any more, but that's because they're too small in terms of capacity, not because they don't work.
