p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Lightroom Download Question

I just bought Lightroom and now when I insert a sd card it automatically starts Lightroom. Before I would create a new folder on my desktop and download there and then move them into bridge for review. Can someone help me turn off lightroom as the default.
Thank You

it'd be helpful to know what kind of computer you're using.

There may be (I dont remember) a Lightroom preference to auto-launch on SD card insertion.

Start Lightroom and in the menu go to Edit > Preferences... On the General tab, deselect the option that says "Show import dialog when a memory card is detected."

But if you've just bought Lightroom why do you still want to "create a folder, and move to bridge for review" ?

Depending on your file size it's often faster to do initial culls in another program. For my D800 files LR is comparatively slow to load each file. I use ViewNX just to do culls, then import into LR. Many use Photo Mechanic also for this reason.
