Just picked up the 55-300 and finally got a chance to give it a go. Honestly, I'm happy with the sharpness so far. Obviously you need a lot of light, but for $200.. I'm not complaining.

Anyway, any critiques are appreciated. You guys are a great resource for good tips.

a nice first effort doug. the lens looks nice and sharp! i am curious what if centering him a bit more might help the image a touch, but just an idea.

Nice shot! I agree with Dorian about centering him a bit more..even before readings his comment. I thought that immediately,,,so others likely will as well. Maybe give the bird a little more room on the left side.
