p.1 #1 · Wireless drives

Hi All
Just started thinking about the wireless drives on the market at the moment, partly to use as extra storage for my 16Gb ipad and as a backup device for cameras in the field.

Anyone know if you can transfer photos directly from camera to idrive/wireless drive using USB port or are these things only intended to be used/driven from tablets and the like.

In short no (as far as I have ever seen)

The best I've come up with is a widget called AIRSTASH . It takes SD cards and can transfer images from it (to the iPad) and more importantly from the iPad to the airstash . There are a couple of sealed unit drives (Kingston etc) and I think they can do Much the same thing (although I've not verified the from iPad bit)

I don't use mine that often but when I do it comes in very handy to get images off the iPad and free up space (even though I have 64 gig)
