I haven't seen the problem you describe, however LCD monitors are generally designed to work best at their 'native' resolution (eg 1024 x 768) - if you set the resolution lower that that (eg 800x600), the screen will not be as sharp
- perhaps DPP has detected that you have your monitor set to a low resolution?
What is the native resolution of your monitor (you can find this by googling the specs for your monitor model), and what resolution is your monitor currently set to?
(on the Windows Desktop, right click > Screen Resolution)
- Try setting the resolution to the maximum value, or perhaps the 'recommended' value
