Nice! The Normandie is still standing? Wow!

The 2nd image brings back a lot of memories. In 1967, at the ripe age of 12 I took one of my first artistic shots from the Condado street bridge (the old one). It was 4:00 AM and my dad and I had just landed in San Juan on one of those $59 JFK-SJU Trans Caribbean Airlines midnight specials. That image, shot with a Zeiss rangefinder is still in my collection of favourites today. (sorry for waxing).

Very nice work on your website too Ken! Great stuff.

Thanks!

Yes, the Normandie is still standing but its closed and up for auction. It has been in and out of business for years. The new Dos Hermanos bridge is awesome and it really enhances de area. This is the view from my apt. btw, I use it a LOT to test cameras and lenses. It really separates the bad glass from the good ones and also sensors.

The first is a stunner. do you need so much sky in the second?

Nice shots and nice views from your apartment. My wife and I were just there in January. We really enjoy Old San Juan, but want to view the rest of the island at some point. You have a nice balance of natural and artificial light.

thx!

When there are clouds the extra space in the sky makes sense, not so much when there are none

Here is a multi-shot pano using the 5D3 and 14mm L II lens (vertical)

Very nice series! I agree with morris in that you could probably crop out some of the sky in #2. But still a good shot regardless.
