I don't get it. A nice review. It may not be the review that you were hoping for but I am sure it helps some folks. Time to get off the soapbox.
I actually find your reviews refreshing, they are short, of a very personal nature and usually contain a few gems of information that might help the inexperienced user of the subject gear. Often extensively long technical reviews don't offer up much more insight as there is more fluff regarding specification then there is actual hands-on in the field experience. Very little in life is 'perfect' all the time, we learn with every shot, every trip out to shoot. In your review your sharing the IS switch options issue and soft images is invaluable for the beginning photographer and a gentle reminder for us more experienced, seasoned, IS users.
Keep shooting, evaluating and reviewing the gear you use, and do continue to share with us your new experiences/techniques. For those that do not find your efforts worthy of reading, they should simply close their mouths much like their minds are.
I'll add one last thought before ending my comments. Given your reviews are short and direct, you might also consider writing something up in FM's gear review's section. Many contribute to this site not only through images, topics and reply's, but also through the 'gear' info sections. The menu at the top of FM pages/screens has an option for reviews, your experiences with gear could add another bit of information to the collective of reviews. Each of us experience gear individually, have different needs/wants and levels of expertise. Every review, small or extensive, adds to the knowledge base and thus contributes to FM's purpose of sharing, learning, inspiring.
