p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Hi : ) !!! - Profoto Acute B2 Pack and Acute 2 / D4 flash head compatibility ...

Hi,

Please correct me if I am wrong ....

Back in 2002 or early 2003 if someone bought an
Acute 2(R) battery pack, the flash head option to
go with it was a flash head called the Acute 2
flash head. Not very long afterwards, Profoto
released a new generator called the "D4", to be
used with "D4" flash heads. As time went by,
Profoto came out with a newer flash head called the
"Acute 2 / D4" flash head. This last flash head is
currently in stock by most dealers. The Acute 2
head may not be.

In 2002 / 2003, I bought an Acute 2R generator.
It came with the Acute 2 flash heads. Last year,
I bought an Acute B2 generator that came with
an Acute B flash head. Profoto has developed
a split cable for the Acute B2 battery pack. I am
almost sure that the newer Acute 2 / D4 flash head
can be used. I wonder now if the older Acute 2 head
could be used as well.

Thank you in advance, kind regards,

igmolinav : ) !!!

You might want to contact the MAC Group (they distribute Profoto here in the US) and ask that question: According to the information on the product page, the Splitter Cable is only compatible with the Acute B heads.
