p.1 #1 · Horsetails

Equisetum, descendant of Carboniferous trees that were as tall as 90' millions of years ago. A plant that lives in temperate zones around the world and in some areas is considered a weed. All in the eye of the beholder or landowner

Thanks for looking.

I like this photo a lot. Nice patterns, detail and color.

These plants are not so soft, however. Silica aggregates in their stems give them a sandpaper-like feel.

I love the image, Bob.
Horsetails are fascinating plants, and you found a healthy-looking herd of them .
And got a real winner of a pic.

For the homeowner, nearly impossible to get rid of but for the photographer - beautiful.

Hi Don,

Thanks very much for your most welcome and kind comments and glad you like the image.

Indeed, a most pernicious plant and bane of the home gardener.
