Wonderful sets with lights on cacti. Photo number 3 gets my vote as my fav.
As to IR... you just use IR filter on any regular camera? I am thinking of converting one of my cameras into IR camera.
Any suggestion?
Kee

Interesting set. I love shooting B&W IR (720nm) and am always interested to see what others shoot.

Thanks for sharing,

Eric

Very interesting close-up shots and IR effect. They go very nicely as a set.
Number two is intriguing as it's back and front lit.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your comments!

@ rhee - my camera has had it's original IR blocking filter removed and replaced with an IR pass filter. My camera's cutoff is at 665nm, so it allows a bit of visible color (mostly reds) along with the IR (up to about 1100nm). This allows me enough color to play around and come up with some false colors that I like.

I'm afraid I'm a traditionalist - can't quite get past the odd colors. Notwithstanding the experimental IR version, which is well shot and artfully striking, I prefer the very natural, albeit well lit and correctly exposed, view as in #2. That's THE shot, in my opinion.

These are really cool. #1 is probably my fave of the set - though I wish the top of the cactus was in frame! #3 is really intriguing as well. Had I not seen the others in the set I'd almost have thought it was like fingers in some oddly fuzzy gloves.

I've got a 720-nm converted camera but these are making me wish I'd gotten the 665-nm filter instead!

What cool shots. You got some sweet IR going here. #2 is my favorite, it really doesn't look like an IR, the colors look pretty realistic.
