No worries @ posting Nikon 50/1.2 AI-S ... it is alt in my book, at least when I mount AI-S glass on my Canons.

Yeah, my feeling too: any discontinued manual focus glass is inherently alt (perhaps excepting certain tilt-shift lenses), regardless of the camera it is used on.

Being a car guy as well as lens accumulator, I decided to go to the Toronto car show. This is a cross post from the M9 thread.

Nikkor lenses should be allowed. There are no real Alts if there are no Ordinary ones...

In the "Admirable blur samples" thread we had quite some Nikkors and they were welcome as Alt lenses, if for nothing else so for comparison purposes.
The last time the Admirable Blur Sample Index was posted was here and you can see many Nikkors. Unfortunately the Index links don't work as expected as Fred has re-organized the page system for the forum (but do some math and if the images still is up you'll find them).

Might be, but the production has stopped, so it would be new-old stock at this point.

Here are two with the Minolta 28mm f/2. One quite nice and one ugly. It shows what I observed with that lens. Wide open close backgrounds can get ugly, but more distant backgrounds are fine and stopped down a bit the bokeh is quite nice as well.

Steve, I love the MD 28mm 2.0, but yes many people find it "ugly".

Here another very special bokeh (in this case more a flair-foreground bokeh)

The Rollei Distagon 35mm 1.4 with triangular aperture. Took it in Notre Dame ...
