Something about these birds I find so delicate and graceful.

As always your nits, crits and comments are much appreciated.

Hope you enjoy,

Birdie

Very nice images, Birdie. They really do showcase how lovely these birds are. Nice job with what looks like was challenging light.

I really like #2 as it's angling toward you a bit, and not away. The BG is dull but certainly is acceptable. I would crop a bit differently; take a bit off the top and front (left side) and add a bit to the back. I find these birds very appealing also. Don

Very nice set with #1 is my pick, Birdie. Great balance of the white feather and the dark color of its upper wing. Great IF shot.

You did a great job with these. Theyre very fast fliers. I havent managed a flight shot on one yet.

Beautiful images Roberta. I look both. I struggle with in-flight shots. I always seem to end up taking the bird's butt rather than their head! I am wondering if you could edit 2 in PS to darken the light band under the bird to make the bird pop a little more. But that is a minor criticism because I really like the image.

Well done Roberta!
These birds are not easy to get right in flight.
Second one is my pick of the set

These are lovely, Birdie. I agree...the warm tones in 2 are terrific, plus the pose is reminiscent of a ballet dancer!

Light looks as though it was overcast; terrific for shooting birds that are mostly blacks and whites so as not to lose either one. In #2, the highs are perfect, but I wonder if you have some more room to expand the blacks further down, and make the wings a little richer.

Thanks Don ! Your idea for cropping is interesting and I will certainly play with it and see , thanks.

Tam, thank you so very much. That is my favorite as well. I just like the tail feathers and out stretched legs, reminds me of a ballet dancer.

Two excellent images, Birdie.
The first has just about everything perfect imo: position of the bird's flight, background, lighting, etc.
